#Happyhour

Dear Becca,

As requested I've searched about some activities for our employees do together outside work, to help them to get to know each other better and work better as a team. I chose the top three considering the pros and cons of each one.

The first option is acting classes, there are many workshops in the city, some of them are even offered to cater to the needs of office workers and amateurs. The advantage of acting classes is that can help you control your emotions and gain focus, besides letting go all of the tension and de-stressing the body. The downside is that we have many employees and it would be necessary many workshops, because the number of people can affect the efficiency of the lesson.

The second option is dancing classes, it can be ballroom classes or even street dance, we can do a voting with our employees to decide. The benefits of this option are that people will have fun, laugh, and relax while they're dancing. The disadvantage however is that some people can get uncomfortable dancing in front of others, cause they might not know how to dance (although that's one of the goals of the class).

The last option is go camping in the weekend, they can go to the beach, climb to the mountains, or stay near to a lake. A guide would be necessary in case they going to some place far away. The good things about this option is that people can get a break of the rush life in the city and enjoy the natural habitat, do campfires, wake up in some calm place. The drawbacks include the fact that you need the equipments and someone to guide, what make this activity more expensive.

My personal preference is to offer the employees dancing classes. It's fun, and even if the person is shy, he/she can get throw this and enjoy the time with his/her coleagues. Not counting that it isn't too expensive and the people will learn how to dance. Anyway, I'll leave the final decision with you.

       Regards,

       Luísa Akemi
